Expanding Rugged Teardrop Trailer opens a whole new room

Hunter Nature is no stranger to the camper industry

If you're looking for an expanding, rugged teardrop trailer that opens a new room, look no further than the Raptor XC.

Hunter Nature is no stranger to the camper industry, having developed three previous entries before the Raptor XC. Two of them are teardrops.

Hunter Nature was created to help fill that void after COVID as the attraction of campers swept through Europe and Asia like wildfire, much like it did the Americas.

Before that, they were simply a machinery manufacturer and hadn't built a single caravan until 2019. Now, their path is set, and they seem to be liking the designs.

With the Raptor XC, you get what you see; an onyx and crimson-colored expandable teardrop camper trailer. But why don't we break this down a little and see what makes this camper tick?

Two layers of rivet-riddled aluminum and some insulation in between make for a cookie that will be just a bit harder to crumble.

All that sits atop two BFGoodrich all-terrain tires and an independent suspension system so that you can take your trip across rivers, mountains, and everything in between.

When you finally find your little slice of paradise and hunker down, the Raptor XC has a rear manually-operated slide-out expansion. It creates a fully-insulated, secondary indoor space.

When fully extended, the expansion takes the length of the camper from fifteen point seven feet to twenty-two point six feet.

Suppose you don't want to crank the slide-out expansion manually. In that case, Hunter Nature does offer a remote-controlled motor system for additional purchase.

The master bedroom is the crown jewel of the Raptor XC, and it also happens to be inside that neat slide-out you just opened.

There is no shortage of natural luminescence, as long side windows and dual skylights stretch across the body of this camper.

Splayed along the floor is the double-sized bed. A doorway separates the bedroom from the rest of the Raptor XC.

In the main cabin, an L-shaped bench half encompasses a dining table in the center of the room. The kitchenette can be found at the far end of the cabin, and it's fully equipped with a dual-burner gas stove, a sink, a twenty-gallon fridge, and a stainless steel counter.

At night, when you finish your meal and are looking to catch a restful night of sleep, the dinette table folds down to create a thirty-five by a seventy-five-inch single bed.

Next to the kitchenette is the private bathroom with an actual solid door. Very rare in a teardrop trailer. You can utilize the toilet, sink, or shower here during your stay.

In addition to the insulation, a Truma Combi heater supplies both the water and interior heating. It's powered by a one-hundred-and-twenty-amp hour gel battery, hooked up to a one-hundred-sixty-watt solar panel.

That covers heat and electricity, what about water? The trailer also carries thirty-two gallons of fresh water and a little over twenty-six gallons of wastewater.
